Food or lack thereof

I'm starting to have to force myself to eat nowadays. I don't know what's up but I'm rarely hungry. I usually have to force myself to eat to make it over 1200 calories. I'm not sleeping well, usually have a headache when I get up, etc. It's probably just the stress catching up to me but I don't like it, not one bit.

I am really enjoying my Nutrition class. We had our second exam this morning and I only missed 1 out of 50 questions. Yay! :) This test was on lipids, proteins, vegetarianism and the digestive system. A few questions I had to make an educated "guess" on but I got them right. I'm learning a lot about health and what your body needs and that has helped keep me on track quite a bit.

I am getting burned out already with my food choices. Maybe that's why I'm not interested in eating much right now. I need to do some searching this weekend for new recipes and meal ideas. If anyone reads this and has a favorite breakfast, lunch or dinner I'd love for you to share with me! :)

It sounds like you need to take some deep breaths and relax a little!

Lorie just posted a yummy soup on her blog! I actually JUST bought the stuff to make that (minus the rotel, I don't like that) and it's a really yummy soup! I actually add just veggies, velveeta, cream cheese and chicken broth. Very yummy!

Stress will definitely slow down your digestion which will make it harder to eat. Try adding a protein shake to your day. It’s easier for your body to digest but then you’ll be keeping your metabolism going. When you skip meals you’ll hurt yourself much more if you eat small or go liquid. All of that will screw with your sleep cycle as well. A great protein power is EAS and you can get it at Sam’s club. It’s the best protein for the price that you can find. Get vanilla and you can add it to almost any kind of fruit juice. Or use water and a Yoplait yogurt for texture. Also, throw in some frozen fruit. There are a thousand ways to make it so you can keep the variety going. Good luck! Keep pushing through!
